Concertina Razor Wire Coil

Concertina razor wire are the most common of the fencing toppings. Manufactured as a fence barrier of galvanised metal strips with sharp edges and galvanised core steel wire and designed to prevent access to site from vandals and unauthorised intruders. The galvanized tape (Zinc coating ranging from 120 gsm to 275 gsm) and Galvanized core wire (diameter: 2.5/2.8mm) with zinc coating 90 gsm to 275 gsm). For more critical razor wire applications, stainless steel tape and stainless steel core wire is available.

The multiple blades on the concertina razor wire are designed to prevent anyone attempting to climb through and provides a psychological deterrent.

Each concertina razor wire section contains core hardened steel strips that are often under tension, therefore if cut would recoil and lash out, striking the offender.

The razor wire is attached to the fence line using either T-bar or Y-bar extensions and can easily be added to our range of high security perimeter fencing.

The razor wire is not only a physical deterrent but to any potential vandals or intruders wishing to gain access to a site.

Razor wire is available in two forms:

• Unclipped
• Clipped in concertina form

The Standard Razor tape system of HeslyFence has a wire diameter of 2.5/2.8 mm and consists of a continuous mild steel strip that is enclosed with sharp blades. All coils are clipped together to obtain a stable and homogeneous network.

Flat Concertina: this is a network of spirals that are clipped and has a flat overlap.

Wire razor: is a single ribbon of barbed wire with sharp blades that are unclipped and stretched above the fence.
